Our client is a manufacturer of polyurethane foams in the Netherlands, embedded in an international group of companies. For decades, it has been successful throughout Europe with technical foams for many industrial applications, for example sound dampening, filtration, medical applications or the automotive industry. The foams are produced from chemical raw materials on a large-scale machine according to the company's own innovative recipes and with its own know-how, and are further processed in several technically demanding special processes. R&D Manager Plastics Netherlands (f/m/d)
Long-term expert position in the SME sector

Your tasks:

• You are the lead chemist of the plant, you are equally responsible for maintaining and updating the diverse production formulations of the technical flexible foams as well as for new developments
• You work closely with the sales department regarding new products according to customer requirements and you support the production department in the optimisation of foam production and further processing.
• You are part of the Innovation Management team for technical foams of the company group. After the induction, you will contribute to the future direction of the company through new developments with commercial potential
• You report to the management and have a travel frequency of approx. 10%.

Your profile:

• You have completed a degree in the field of polymer chemistry
• You already have professional experience and would like to develop further, but committed career starters also have a chance
• Experience with polyurethanes or other thermoset systems (epoxy resins, UP resins, acrylates, silicones, etc., foams of all kinds) is an advantage but not a requirement
• You are a practical and hands-on type who approaches your goals actively and creatively, and you are a team player with good communication and persuasive skills
• You are willing to take on board proven experiential knowledge and you combine this with your ideas to create innovations
• In addition to Dutch, you also speak practised and business fluent English
